Pete DohertyDespite apparently being clean now after having a chemical implant fitted, Pete Doherty was been arrested yesterday and held in custody overnight on seven counts of drug possession.

Most of the charges are from earlier this year but one of the counts is from an arrest on 7th August: all related to possession of controlled substances, three counts of possessing cocaine, two for diamorphine and two for cannabis.

Appearing in Thames Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, Pete admitted he was guilty to the charges and District Judge Alison Rose told him he could face jail when the court reconvenes to discuss the case on 4th September. Pete was also ordered to hand over his passport and “live and sleep” at a rehabilitation clinic, remaining under a 10pm to 8am curfew until the court reconvenes.

Pete is already under a community supervision order after drugs offences in January.
