Peaches GeldofPeaches Geldof isn’t a fan of The OC and similar shows, claiming they drives teenagers to strive for “perfection” in their looks and an unattainable luxury lifestyle.

She said recently: “Programmes like The OC are already having a bad effect on people. You see girls and boys being extremely snobby and unwelcoming to people who aren’t beautiful and it’s horrible.”

“Now teenagers are taking the same attitude towards people because they think the way they are treated on TV is the same way you treat people in real life.”

“Shows like this are putting pressure on teenagers, especially on young girls. Because they see these perfect girls on TV they believe the only way they will get accepted by their peers is to have plastic surgery.”
