Brittany Murphy and Joe MacalusoBrittany Murphy has ended her engagement to fiance Joe Macaluso.

The pair met in 2004, while working together on Little Black Book and got engaged on New Year’s Eve last year.

Brittany was spotted without her engagement ring when she appeared at the Teen Choice Awards at the weekend but declined to respond to speculation, just saying: “Everything is going wonderful, thank you. I’m just living every moment, you know, enjoying my day.”

However her spokesperson yesterday confirmed that the couple have “amicably ended their engagement. They remain close friends and wish each other much happiness.”
