Jennifer Love HewittJennifer Love Hewitt was sceptical about the afterlife when she started working on the TV show Ghost Whisperer but has revealed she’s now a lot more open to the idea after one of the on-set psychics helped her dead grandmother get in touch.

The show is based on a real-life spirit guide James Van Praagh and medium Mary Ann Winkowski and the pair are often around the set as advisors - or in this case, inspiration for the lead stars.

Jennifer revealed: “We had an evening with James where he did this thing and my grandmother came through.”

“She just wanted to say hello and tell me that she was looking out for me. It was really nice.”
