He admitted to enjoying contest-based shows like Pop Idol and The X Factor: “I’ll watch any old s***, but I refused to watch Big Brother this year because it’s like looking at mental patients.”

“Same with Love Island - it’s human beings having nervous breakdowns in front of the whole nation. Some things should be kept at home.”

“If you had put me in Love Island after I’d just left Take That, then I would have been f**ked - I’d be crying all the time too.”
