Owen Wilson has broken his silence over the rumours that he has been involved with You, Me and Dupree co-star Kate Hudson.

Kate was rumoured to have left husband Chris Robinson after a fling with Owen, with the co-stars spending nights together at Owen’s Santa Monica home.

But Owen has now denied the gossip saying: “I’m single despite what people say. I think hopefully that I’ll meet someone that I’ll want to have a family with, that’s what I would like.”

And in a related report, a source claiming to be close to Kate and Chris has told the New York Post that the couple’s split was greatly exaggerated and they’re planning to spend the Labor Day weekend (next weekend) together in California.

The source said: “They never really split. They love each other - Chris can be sarcastic and biting, but not with her.”
