Bruce SpringsteenBruce Springsteen has denied the recent rumours that he has separated from Patti Scialfa, his wife of 18 years.

Bruce posted a message on his website to end speculation about the “unfounded and ugly rumours”, despite trying to avoid using “this website for anything personal”.

He wrote: “Patti and I have been together for 18 years- the best 18 years of my life.”

“We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married.”

The couple were seen together on Friday, shopping for antiques near their New Jersey home and reportedly gave an impromtu five-minute performance when they found some old musical instruments.
