Michael Douglas on why actors date other actors

Michael Douglas has revealed why he thinks many big actors date other Hollywood stars - it’s because only other actors really understand the nature of the business.

Michael, who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, said recently: “I realise more and more why industry couples are together. It’s a bizarre world.”

“People have an odd reaction to the celebrity thing, it doesn’t matter where you are - Washington DC, anywhere.”

“People say it’s self-serving for your career, but I just think that two actors understand the process more.”

“You understand your wife doing love scenes with somebody is acting. She knows that if somebody calls you on set and you say, ‘I’ve got to go’, it’s because they’re ready to shoot. It’s been a definite plus.”
