Brooke Shields has confirmed that Tom Cruise has personally apologised to her after he brought her into his rants against antidepressants drugs last year.

Brooke admitted to take antidepressants while suffering from post-natal depression after the birth of her first child, Rowan in 2003.

Brooke told the Tonight Show on Friday that Tom visited her house on Thursday: “[He] came over to my house, and he gave me a heartfelt apology. And he apologized for bringing me into the whole thing and for everything that happened.”

“I was so impressed with how heartfelt he was.”

“I did not feel that he was trying to convince me of anything other than the fact that he was deeply sorry. And I accepted it.”

Tom’s spokesperson, Arnold Robinson, confirmed the apology but made clear that Tom “has not changed his position about anti-depressants” and he still considers them to be “unhealthy”.
