Mel Gibson apologises to police with flowers and premiere invite

Mel Gibson has apologised to the three police officers he insulted while drunk during his arrest at the end of July.

Mel attacked police officer James Mee offer his religion when James pulled over Mel for speeding and while being escorted to his cell at the police station, he called a female police officer “sugar tits”.

Mel sent the female officer a $500 bouquet with a note offering his “sincere apologies” and invited both police officers to the premiere of his new film, Apocalypto.

A source close to the female police officer revealed: “Mel has sent her the biggest bunch of flowers she’s ever seen with a note. She was quite touched and I’m sure that the two arresting officers will take him up on his invitation.”
