Heather LocklearHeather Locklear and David Spade have reportedly split up - despite never actually confirming they were together.

The couple were spotted kissing at a party in March and in the six months since then, have been repeatedly spotted cuddling, holding hands and kissing.

But, according to a source quoted in People magazine, the budding relationship came too soon after Heather’s split from Richie Sambora - and Richie’s subsequent hooking-up with Heather’s former friend Denise Richards.

The source claimed: “Heather is still going through a lot with Denise Richards and Richie. It’s just too soon for her to get serious. They are still friends. It’s not ugly.”

Another source close David revealed the Heather/David break-up “was a mutual decision” while a source close to Heather denied it was ever a full on relationship in the first place: “They are friends. They’ve always been friends. And they continue to be friends. There’s nothing more than that.”
