Brad Pitt: Angelina Jolie and I won’t marry until gay marriage is legal
Brad Pitt has revealed that he and Angelina Jolie won’t even consider getting married until gay marriage is legalised in the US.
Brad told Esquire magazine: “Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able.”
In the interview, he also spoke fondly of his adopted children, Zahara and Maddox: “They’re as much of my blood as any natural born, and I’m theirs. That’s all I can say about it. I can’t live without them. So: Anyone considering [adoption], that’s my vote.”

Apparently Brad is using the excuse (pugbus.net) that he won’t marry Ang, because of the homosexual community not being allowed to marry.
Smart PR move. Not true - cause like everyone is saying - if true they would have been blabbing this long ago. But nice move.
They wave kids in front of cameras and so if we don’t like Brad it must mean we hate adoption, or charity work.
They use the gay community a reason and now if we don’t like Brad it must mean we hate gays.
I’m seriously learning how to be a PR person watching the games of Brad and Angelina. PR people are kinda like bad lawyers, dishonest, cruel and opportunists

If ever there was a commit-phobe man, THIS IS IT!!! Brad, you put the rest of us to shame. Wish I’d think of that to get out of marrying…..

Sorry, Brad is too dumb to use this as an excuse to get out of marrying. He is actually serious, stupid, but serious and that is what is so pathetic.

I can just see the US Government rushing to change laws now because Brangelina has spoken! Why aren’t Brad and Angie being sent to the Middle East to negotiate peace? Forget Condoleeza Rice, we have BRANGELINA!
I think there should be a second “Team America” movie made with you-know-who in the main roles.

I am a gay man and I find Brad’s comments just so lame. Puhleaase, who does he think he is, Ghandi, Nelson Mandela? Brad Pitt, Crusader for the Oppressed. Pathetic. This just screams of self promotion.

Patronising statements like these from heterosexual (?) actors are just so pathetic. I am homosexual and think actors should stick to what they do best - and that is acting. A beautiful, thought provoking movie like Brokeback Mountain has far more of an impact than stupid comments like these. Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger accomplished a lot more for gay rights by doing their job well.
But then again, Brad doesn’t exactly have Ledger’s or Gyllenhaal’s acting talent so this is his only way of getting attention again.

IF THEY REALLY WANT TO DO THIS “SAVING THE WORLD THING” PROPERLY, I THINK BRAD AND ANGELINA SHOULD ALSO STOP DINING ON GOURMET FOOD AGAIN UNTIL ALL THE HUNGRY CHILDREN IN AFRICA ARE FED. OR HOW ABOUT LIVING ON THE STREETS (INSTEAD OF A MALIBU MANSION) UNTIL EVERYBODY WHO LOST A HOME DURING KATRINA HAS A HOUSE AGAIN. OR MAY BE JUST A SMALL START LIKE TRAVELING ON A REGULAR AIRLINE INSTEAD OF A PRIVATE JET! WHAT HYPOCRATES. ALL OF MY FRIENDS THINK THESE TWO ARE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE US. GEORGE BUSH’S STUPIDITY ISN’T FUNNY ANYMORE, LONG LIVE BRANGELINA!

Jesus, what’s with all the hate and personal attacks? Brad Pitt cares about gay rights, so that makes him stupid? Brad and Angelina use their fame to help bring attention to social injustice, so that makes them cruel and opportunistic? C’mon people, get off your damn high horses and appreciate the good these two are doing in the world. Hating people because they’re famous is mean-spirited, discounting the good they do for the same reason is just freakin’ stupid.

Think about it-even if you’re gay you cannot legally wed in your home state. it’s ludicrous if Pitt thinks he’s doing a public service by making a hypocritical play! Was his wedding to Jennifer just another publicity stunt, or did he not hold the first Mrs. Pitt up to the same standards as he does Ms. Jolie? Pitt’s statement is just another example of how delusional celebrities are today! Pitt may not believe in the concept of marriage this week! But it’s a sign of troubled society when those, and only those whose are the least capable intellectually to advise on issues of social and cultural matter are the ones whose opinions we see in the papers.

These folks are actors — that’s their profession and PR is part of it. Causes and children look very good to win over public opinion. I’m in the PR world. You can always appreciate their acting talents and their movies, but the rest is basically hype and they are trained to do that.

Wow, that’s original, NOT! Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend said this over a year ago. In fact Charlize has been honoured for increasing “visibility and understanding” in the gay community and was presented with the Vanguard Award at the Gay and L*****n Alliance Against Defamation’s (GLAAD) annual media awards in Los Angeles.

so he can’t say it just because someone else has said it before?
surely the more people who say stuff like this, the more likely it is to have some impact.
more straight people should boycott marriage until gay people can get married too - like people did with south african produce during the apartheid era.

yes, and crippled only the people who were already living below the breadline in SA. The Whites continued to live wealthy lives despite boycotts while the Black South Africans lost their jobs and struggled more! Shut up about things you obviously know nothing about!

You just confirm the stereotype of gay man that heterosexuals tend to see. We come in all shapes and sizes, and some of us are actually intelligent, educated and articulate people and are not impressed by stupid comments of movie stars.

How stupid! Why don’t they stop eating until everyone the the US who wants to eat is fed? Or stop reading until everyone the US who wants to read has books? Or stop making movies until everyone the the US who wants to see a movie has free access. AS IF anyone cares? They’ve already collected a mish-mash of kids, shack up and have babies out of wedlock.

i have nothing against no one. I might disagree with things but yeah…everyone does.
You know what really irritates me, is that, celebrities must thing they are the hot s**t if they think they have the power to persuade people to boycott and change laws and make things happen, just so that people can see them get married.
They must not care about eachother a whole awful lot, if they are going to make what is supposed to be “their wedding” and “their union of love” into something they’ll say they’ll do…but only if they get their way.
What a load of b******t. Im sorry Brad Pitt. But you’re getting old.
