Man arrested after fake claims to become Jolie-Pitt family bodyguard
A man has been arrested for fraud while trying to become a bodyguard for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Nelson Mercado told Sunset Protective Services and Investigations that he was a special agent in the Department of Homeland Security and he specifically wanted “the security contract and hourly payment to provide security services” for the Jolie-Pitt family, sparking concerns that he was planning to endanger the stars themselves or their three children.
He has been accused of using fake credentials and having a “fraudulently registered” vehicle with tinted windows and a police light.
If convicted, he faces up to three years in jail.
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
