Michelle McManus hits back at Elton John’s “forgotten” suggestion

Michelle McManus is annoyed by Elton John’s recent suggestion that she’s been “forgotten” after winning “cruel” Pop Idol in 2003.

Despite being recently dropped by her record label, Michelle says she has no regrets about taking part in the talent show.

She said recently: “I found it a really positive experience and a great opportunity. I’ve got new management now and my own radio show. Plus I’m getting stuck into my second album.”

“The music industry can be cruel and to survive you’ve got to be focused, determined and confident.”
