Madonna: horse accident was a wake-up call
Madonna has revealed her horse riding accident last year was “a wake-up call” and encouraged her to keep living her life to the full.
She fell from her horse on her 47th birthday in August last year while riding on her Wiltshire estate, which broke her collarbone, hand and several ribs.
She told Q magazine: “It was a wake-up call to appreciate my life, to be more grateful for what I have.”
“It reaffirms my continued aspirations to learn and do as much as I can while on this earth.”
She also revealed that the births of her two children, Lourdes and Rocco, were the high points of her life and “watching many friends die from Aids” the lowest points.
