• Paris Hilton reportedly broke into floods of tears when a fan asked her if she was OK recently. Paris was approached by the fan on a Los Angeles street last week and an onlooker reported: “Paris seemed really sad and tried to explain that she was in a rush. When the young girl asked if everything was OK, Paris shook her head before fleeing in tears.”
  • Aaron Carter has called off his engagement to Playmboy model Kari Ann Peniche after just nine days. The couple had said they were planning to marry within six months but now Aaron’s told Us Weekly: “I got caught up in the moment and proposed. I then realized it was a hasty thing to do and I am not ready for marriage quite yet.”
  • Russell Crowe is “appalled” by reports that he’s to play Steve Irwin in a biopic. Rumours started about the film after Steve died earlier this month but Russell has said: “It’s appalling to me and offends me very deeply. It’s so awful that I have to deal with millions of people thinking I would dance on my friend’s grave. Yes, I do think there should be a movie made about Steve but I’m not the sort of person who will be doing commerce on my friend’s grave.”
