Cynthia Nixon: I didn’t struggle with my sexuality, I just fell in love
Cynthia Nixon insists it was no big deal when she separated from husband Danny Mozes to pursue a relationship with another woman.
The Sex and the City star left Danny, who she had known since high school, for education activist Christine Marinoni in 2003. Cynthia and Christine’s relationship was made public after tabloid reports a year later, in September 2004.
She told New York magazine: “There wasn’t a struggle, there wasn’t an attempt to suppress. I met this woman, I fell in love with her, and I am a public figure.”
“My girlfriend had English press on her parents’ lawn … They almost put me on the cover of People magazine.”
But the two quickly worked out a damage limitation plan: “I can’t remember in what context they tell people this, but if someone is chasing you, stop running. And then they’ll stop chasing you.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
