Naomi Campbell has been warned she faces arrest if she doesn’t appear in court in November related to her ongoing assault charges.

Naomi was due to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday to face accusations that she assaulted her housekeeper with her mobile phone in March this year but she failed to show up at the specified time. Her lawyer, David Breitbart refused to give a reason for Naomi’s absence but did add that she was not otherwise detained due to work or other professional reasons.

The case has been adjourned until 15 November with the judge, James Gibbons, telling the jury: “I want to make it clear that she is absolutely obliged to appear at the next hearing. If she fails to appear on that court date, the [arrest] warrant will go into effect.”

Naomi denies assaulting the housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, after an argument over a pair of jeans.
