George MichaelGeorge Michael has been arrested after being found asleep at the wheel of his car for the second time in less than a year.

George had fallen asleep while stopped at traffic lights near his home in north London in the early hours of yesterday morning and the police were called when other motorists couldn’t rouse him.

George was breathtested then arrested and while being searched at Colindale police station, was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis.

A police spokesperson revealed: “In the routine way, a doctor was called out to him to take a blood sample but thought [George] seemed ill and decided he needed to go to hospital in case he was in a more serious condition than first thought.”

“There was a concern a mix of drugs and alcohol may have had a bad effect on him.”

After an examination at Barnet Hospital, he was returned to the police station and given a caution for the cannabis. He was then released on bail until next month, pending the results of his blood alcohol tests.

George was arrested for a similar incident near Hyde Park in February and for crashing into neighbours’ cars in April.
