Pete Doherty asked to lead therapy session at the Priory
Pete Doherty has reportedly been offered a job at The Priory after his latest stint there.
The staff at the rehab clinic were so impressed with his attitude during his court-mandated stay that they’ve asked him to return to lead therapy sessions as a counsellor for other patients.
A source told the Daily Star: “Pete was particularly impressive at his group therapy sessions.”
“He acknowledged right away he was addicted to drugs and he never had a problem talking about how his addiction affected his daily life.”
“That made him stand out from other patients who often won’t even admit they have a problem.”
Pete left the clinic at the end of last month after a four week residence and immediately started touring again with his band Babyshambles - but he won’t forget his Priory experience any time soon. He said after a gig last week: “Any time off I have I’ll go back to The Priory to see my doctors and the residents, some of whom have become really good friends.”
