Jude Law believes his 2004 film Alfie would have been more successful if he was JudY Law.

The remake of the 1966 Michael Caine film only made $13million at the US box office despite costing a reported $60million to make.

With the wonderful power of hindsight, Jude said recently: “One person said something that I have to be honest I agreed with … Alfie should have been a woman, in a modern version. I thought that was brilliant.”

“I think that statement sort of summed up maybe where went wrong.”
