Kate Moss has reportedly begged Pete Doherty to leave his band, Babyshambles, in order to concentrate on getting clean from drugs.

Over the weekend, the band cancelled their scheduled tour dates in the UK so that Pete could have time for more rehabilitation, with Kate whisking him away to her Cotswolds home.

A source close to the pair told the Mirror: “Kate is so determined to help Pete kick the habit she’s more or less locked him up in her home where he’s safe from any bad influences.”

“She wanted him to breathe the fresh air and realise that it is possible to appreciate the nicer things in life without having to resort to drugs. She really wants to make a go of things with him, but they can’t do this while he is on those substances. She knows it is hard, but she is begging him to do it for her.”

“She was so angry that he went on tour so soon after leaving the Priory clinic. Pete can’t take heroin because he has implants in his stomach, but she’s desperately worried he may be back on crack.”

Another source told the Sun: “Pete has pledged his love to Kate and is desperate for a baby with her. But she is refusing to commit to a long-term future unless he dumps his band and his old druggie friends.”

“He immediately cancelled the tour but now he is considering quitting the group altogether.”

“Kate wants him to prove that he can settle down and live a normal life.”
