Nicole Richie and Paris HiltonParis Hilton and Nicole Richie are reportedly friends again after an 18-month feud of unknown cause.

The two were spotted together at Dan Tana’s Steakhouse in Hollywood on Sunday night and rumours of attempts at reconciliation over the last few weeks. Nicole initially denied the rumours but now it looks like they’re back on the path to friendship.

An onlooker told People magazine: “They looked like best friends to me… They were laughing really loud and seemed more than happy to be together.

“There wasn’t a slow moment in their conversation - they chatted non-stop. They left hand-in-hand, smiling.”

The two are rumoured to have made up to thwart The Simple Life’s producer Jon Murray’s plans to ship them off to a desert island - now that they’re friends again, the forthcoming series will show them as camp counsellors instead.

Of their reunion, Murray said: “they reached out to each other in universal disdain for the island concept and rekindled their friendship.”
