Ashlee SimpsonAshlee Simpson wasn’t impressed by the crowd that got together to wish her a happy 22nd birthday on Wednesday.

Ashlee, who is in London while performing in Chicago in the West End, held a party at the Embassy club but wasn’t impressed by the selection of reality tv stars and small time pop stars that made up most of the guest list. At one point, she was heard to mutter: “Who are these people? If I was in LA, it would be full of real stars.”

But at least one of the guests, Charlotte Church, had a good time. She was spotted throwing back tequila shots before taking to the dancefloor.

An onlooker revealed: “She boogied with three guys, before throwing her handbag on the floor and dancing around it.”

“At one point one of the guys was breakdancing around her and nearly pulled them both over and they fell about laughing. Afterwards she sang happy birthday to Ashlee, it was very sweet to hear.”
