Jon was absent throughout her & her brother’s childhoods like so many Fathers. He treated the family like c**p & even cheated on their Mother when the kids were young. It’s not blood that counts, it’s treatment. If he hasn’t behaved like a father, then why should Jolie bend over backwards. She is content with her life now, why ruin that for the sake of blood relation.

She gave him a chance after he cheated on his wife and ab, and he went on national television saying that his daughter has serious ‘mental problems.’ That is not what family does and that is certinaly not what a father does. For someone who so desperately wants to see his grandchildren, it is odd that a reporter had to correct him twice when he called his granddaughter Shakira.

As for Trump, he is the last person to talk about the sanctity of family, and of what is or isn’t deemed attractive.

Jon was & is not a good father. I agree with Angelina. Why should she let him get close to the children SO HE CAN REPEAT HISTORY & HURT THEM? Do you really think that Mr. Voight would bond with his non-white grand-children, a Cambodian boy & an African girl? I doubt it & Angie probably has the same concerns after the betrayal she’s endured from him. He’ll probably favour Shiloh over the other two which will cause low self-esteem for the adopted kids. Although opinions are a dime a dozen, I see the issue in a different lite. It seems that when dear ole dad was embarressed publicly by his daughter, he publicly opened up with cruel statements. This entirely was to defend his public image as an actor and anyone who would associate him with his daughter. Now, we are a few years down the road from his acquiring a beautiful Grandson, where was he when the child was originally adopted. You would think that he would have made every private opportunity at that point to become a grandparent. Now that the world is whirling in great publicity for the young couple and their children, here comes dear ole dad to jump on the band wagon, after all it would be good for his career to be in the family fold again. As all have noticed the young couple has not gone public to give an opinion on whether dad should be near the children, this is a statement of privacy and not wishing to wash their laundry in public. There are facts of life in this world, when children are not raised around or with the love of a parent, there is very little bonding, respect or even love for that parent. When a parent goes to the press to humiliate that child and believes this will force the issue, then one must ask, “What does want”? Therefore, Donald Trump needs to go home, mind his own business and make sure his relationship with his children is on the right track. Did he need the publicity, therefore jumping on the band wagon?

I’ve followed Angelina’s career for many years and during that time have read lots about her life. She’s tried at least 3 times (that have been mentioned publicly) to reconcile with her father and been hurt each time. In fact, the last time is in a movie: The first Tomb Raider. The lines between Laura Croft and her dad near the end of the movie were written by AJ and Jon Voight describing their own relationship. They began feuding again when Mr. Voight told reporters about AJ adopting Maddox when she wanted a bit of privacy to get to know him out of the spot light, followed by him telling an interviewer that AJ was mentally ill because she wasn’t speaking to him.

When Maddox was adopted she decided to not let him have a relationship with his grandfather because she didn’t want the turmoil in his life that she had with dear old dad. You can say whatever you want about her, but it’s difficult to fault her parenting skills. She has her children on location with her during filming. She takes breaks to go play with them and they have cell phones that dial her when they want/need her. She spends more time with them than most working parents do.

I wish her well in life and in her career. She’s an inspiration for a lot of people, faults and flaws included. No one’s perfect, and as posters said earlier, you can’t break up a happy marriage. It wasn’t her most sterling moment, but a lot of people don’t manage to make marriage last a lifetime.

i read in cosmopolitan noticed this magzine is not a tabloyed well it was about 6 or 7 years ago they said that while angelina father was working there was no money given to his exwife for his children they lived in apartments wore second hand clothing and costantly moved angelina was not a rich hollywood kid like kate hudson or others it wasnt until she began modeling at age 15 that she began afording things for herself

Angelina may appear to be a bit different, but it is a good difference. She donates more money & time than most other celebs and appears to be a caring, good parent & has given kids the chance of a good life, who would have had a tough life otherwise. What’s the problem then? Why all the bitterness against someone who seems to have a kind caring heart & wants to do good? Brad could not have been happy with Jennifer, or he would never have left her in the first place.
