Rumoured to be pregnant with Eddie Murphy’s baby, Melanie Brown is already showing a “little bump” according to friends.

A Los Angeles based friend of the former Spice Girl has confirmed earlier rumours about Mel’s pregnancy and revealed she has moved into Eddie’s Hollywood home.

The friend told the Mirror: “She is about four months’ pregnant, which is about as long as their relationship. It must have happened the first time they slept together - or pretty close to that anyway.”

“Some people would be terrified about having a baby so soon, but not these two.

“They are delighted and Mel hasn’t stopped grinning. She has a little bump already, but it will be pretty obvious soon.”

“Their relationship is very strong. There is no ring on her finger yet but no one would be surprised if they got married without too much notice.”

“She’s hardly left his side for four months. She’s now moving into his house officially so they can really become a family.”

Eddie’s spokesperson refused to comment on the rumours, saying “we do not comment on Mr Murphy’s personal life,” while Mel’s Leeds-based dad, Martin Brown was similarly silent: “I’ve nothing to say. My lips are sealed.”
