Madonna in Malawi with baby David

  • Madonna’s spokesperson Liz Rosenberg has revealed that Madonna knew instantly that she wanted to adopt David Banda when she first saw him at his orphanage in Malawi: “It was love at first sight.” A witness at the first meeting told People magazine: “The look of pure joy on [Madonna’s] face was beyond words”. David was flown to London earlier this week to be reunited with Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie.
  • Lionel Richie has said he believes he’s great in bed - but he realises that’s it might only be a belief rather than a fact. He told Blender magazine: “I am a legend in my own mind, the greatest porn star I know. You can’t be a love songwriter and not be the greatest porn star.”
  • Sofia Coppola has finally confirmed that she’s pregnant with her first child, seven months into the pregnancy. With partner Thomas Mars, Sofia recently found out that she’s expecting a little girl. She told USA Today: “I’m so excited to have a little girl. We’re going to wait and see [about a name]. When you’re writing, you pick names for characters, but it’s harder in real life. I tried to be open about both sexes, but it’s so fun to have little girl stuff.”
