Kym and Jack RyderCoronation Street star Kym Ryder has revealed she would love to have a child with former-Eastender husband Jack Ryder because her role in the soap is allowing her to have a normal family life in addition to a career.

Kym, who has two children from a previous releationship, starred in reality show Popstars and won a place in the resulting band, Hear’Say but found it hard to juggle music and motherhood. She told the Sun: “when you’re in the music business, everything is fly by the seat of your pants and you never know what you’re doing from one day to the next.”

“But Coronation Street is so much more organised and professional, and I can actually make plans and have something resembling a normal life.”

“I’ve worked hard and made real sacrifices over the years to build my career and to get my kids the best possible start in life. Now I’ve done that I can enjoy spending time with them. It’s not about how high my record gets in the charts any more, it’s about my family.”

“I’ve got everything I could wish for and the children are very happy.”

“We have sold our house in St Albans and moved to Manchester and I’m seeing so much more of them.”

“Jack and I really would like a baby. The time feels right. We’re both working very hard at the moment so we’re concentrating on that, but we’d like to soon. I think we just want one. I’ve already got two so I think it would be greedy of me to want any more than that. Jack treats the children like they’re his own but they’ve got a dad who’s heavily involved in their life so we would like one together.”

“It would be nice for Jack to have a little mini-Jack.”
