An actress rumoured to be the reason for Ryan Phillippe’s separation from Reese Witherspoon has denied that she has anything to do with Ryan.

Reports in US press have claimed that Reese found out that Ryan’s relationship with Stop Loss in Texas co-star Abbie Cornish was more than just professional after reading romantic messages from Abbie stored on Ryan’s BlackBerry.

However, Abbie’s publicist has denied the claims, saying: “It’s not true. They are co-stars and that is it.”

A source close to the couple had previously said the formal separation at this point was not triggered by one event but “cumulative”.
