Not many people would probably have thought it would be a smooth ride when Kate Moss and Pete Doherty got engaged but it’s reportedly been troublesome in a way that neither of them probably imagined…

According to the Daily Mirror, the couple had to rush to hospital after Pete tried on his fiancee brand new £50,000 diamond engagement ring and it got stuck on his finger. Efforts to remove it caused his finger to swell further, making it more difficult to remove and in the end, it had to be cut off.

The two were later spotted leaving Princess Grace Hospital in North London, with Pete’s finger bandaged and a sheepish look on his face.

A source told the newspaper: “He was in complete agony. Now the band will have to be patched up by a jeweller.”
