- George Michael has revealed he thinks his controversial anti-Bush song ‘Shoot The Dog’ in 2002 has ruined his career. He revealed on a recently South Bank Show special about himself: “Before 2002, I had an unflinching hold on the charts. Everything I did was a radio hit. Since ‘Shoot The Dog’, I have not had a surehold hit”. He added that the song caused a general backlash against him through the right-wing press and media, and called Rupert Murdoch “the devil” and “a media dictator”.
- Bobby Brown’s girlfriend Karrine Steffans is rumoured to be furious with Bobby after finding out she’s pregnant with his child. A source told the National Enquirer that Karrine was stunned to find out she was expecting because Bobby had told her he’d had a vasectomy: “When Karrine found out she was pregnant she was so angry because Bobby had told her he couldn’t have more kids.” Bobby, who already has four children, is currently divorcing wife Whitney Houston and is considering making a reality tv show about his relationship with Karrine.
- Mel Gibson has ruled out starring in further sequels to his Mad Max and Lethal Weapon films, despite frequent rumours that they’re in production. He said recently that he believes he’s “getting a little long in the tooth” for another Mad Max movie and added regarding the central Lethal Weapon cop-buddy storyline: “Oh boy, was that done to death”.
