Katie Holmes has reportedly become firm friends with Brooke Shields, despite the history between Brooke and Katie’s fiance Tom Cruise.

During Tom’s attacks on anti-depressants drugs last year, Tom publicly criticised Brooke for admitting to using medication to help deal with her postpartumn depression after the birth of her first child and Brooke retaliated by mocking the 16 year old age gap between Katie and Tom.

After Tom’s apology for his attack in August this year, the two became friends and when spotted at a charity event together last week, Brooke told Access Hollywood that they are “absolutely” friends and added “you never know how life is going to bring people together.”
