Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are reportedly dialled down the drama in their divorce because Denise’s boyfriend Richie Sambora encouraged Denise to be more generous towards Charlie.

Charlie and Denise’s initial separation was decidedly acrimonious, with Denise requesting restraining orders against Charlie and insisting he only had limited and monitored visitation access to the couple’s two daughters.

But a source close to the trio revealed that while Richie is “happy” with Denise, “the only thing holding him back was the drama between Denise and Charlie. He expressed this to Denise.”

Richie believed that Denise and Charlie could have as good relationship as he maintains with his ex-wife Heather Locklear: “[Richie and Heather] stay in touch for the sake of their daughter. She’s the most important thing to the both of them.”
