Jennifer Aniston: I identify with downtrodden characters
Jennifer Aniston has revealed she prefers playing “downtrodden” characters rather than self-confident glamour pusses because she feels it’s easier to identify with the former.
She told OK magazine: “What’s the attraction of playing a downtrodden character? I think that’s how I see myself. Quite honestly, its just part of me. I’ve come from there, I’ve had moments of insecurity, low self-esteem - all of that stuff.”
She also revealed that she tries not to have unrealistic expectations for herself: “There is something to not having such expectations, to not needing to have something. If [your expectation]’s not happening, you’re so frustrated. If you can find happiness wherever you are, things come easier. It’s like letting go.”
