It seems all the co-star-wooing genes in the Wilson family went to Owen Wilson: his brother Luke Wilson is reportedly being “outwardly rude and awful” to his co-star Kate Beckinsale on the set of their new film Vacancy

According to a report in the New York Post, filming the thriller has been far from fun with both lead actors falling ill at different times but Luke’s behaviour is causing even more problems.

An insider source told the newspaper Luke is “he arrives late, is outwardly rude and awful to Kate and brags about girls. She can’t stand him. He’s is being total diva”.

A second source revealed Luke also refuses to turn up for ‘reversal’ shots where he should be off-camera for Kate to speak to while she is being filmed. Similarly, he refuses to have Kate in front of him while he’s doing his own reversals: “he doesn’t want anyone on the set in his line of sight except the director.” The source added that last week Kate sent him a picture of a herself with a note saying: “Read your lines to this - it will be better for both of us.”

However, as could be expected, their spokespeople have denied any tension. The film’s producer Hal Lieberman also denied the rumours, saying: “We have a great production. The actors have been great. We are on schedule and on budget. Luke and Kate have been incredibly professional. I have enjoyed working with both actors.”
