Take That have changed their mind about welcoming Robbie Williams back into the band because “we don’t know him any more”.

When the former teen idols regrouped earlier this year, they had hoped that Robbie would join them on stage during their comeback tour but as Robbie was already busy with his own tour, it didn’t happen.

Now, in the face of Robbie’s new album selling poorly, receiving considerable criticism and resulting in legal action from their former manager, Howard Donald has revealed he doesn’t want to work with Robbie again.

He said recently: “To let somebody in who you don’t know what’s going on in their head is not a good idea.”

“If we have big success with this album - really big success - then to let him back when we don’t really know him any more would be a mistake.”

“The others may have some opinions on this, but I don’t think we need him.”
