Katie Melua has revealed she’s planning to take a break from her singing career to go back to university.

When her contemporaries were busy catching Freshers’ Flu and drowning in reading lists, Katie released her debut album ‘Call Off the Search’ but now the 22 year old is planning a return to studying at some point.

She said recently: “It is very much something for the future but I will go to university.”

“I am a bit split between English literature, history and physics. English because I love reading, history because I have always been interested in politics and physics because it is the subject which comes closest to explaining the world.”

“I have looked at different courses but not in too much detail. Not yet.”
