Ben Affleck: I should never have got engaged to Jennifer Lopez
Ben Affleck has confessed that he’s glad he didn’t marry former fiancée Jennifer Lopez.
The couple, nicknamed “Bennifer”, had a high profile relationship between 2002-2004, with a wedding planned for September 2003 only to be called off at the last minute. They blamed the extensive media attention for their split.
He told Now magazine recently: “I should never have got engaged and never gone down that route. I thought I wanted certain things, but I didn’t. I got lost and felt suffocated, miserable and gross.”
“Being in the middle of a tabloid frenzy, it became so intense I had to stop and think, ‘What am I doing with my life?’”
“I had to smile for the cameras, but I was really in turmoil. I was no longer in control of my life and I didn’t know which way to turn. I felt like a hamster in a cage. The faster my legs went, the less distance I seemed to travel.”
Ben married his Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner last year and the couple have a 12 month old daughter, Violet together while Jennifer Lopez married Marc Anthony in June 2004, just months after her split from Ben.

Ben is starting to sound like a real loser. He’s still talking about Jennifer Lopez, after splitting up almost three years ago. He’s been all gabby about her since they ended, answering intrusive questions that he said he despised. A real gentleman never tells. Ask Marc Anthony; bet Jenny-from-the block is thanking her lucky stars she wised up and returned to him. They’re very happy together, she never brings up Ben anymore and if the press does, she’s learned how to handle it.

We all have to bite into the rotten apples to find the good one. I think Ben did a good thing by dumping JLo…she was brining down his image. Ben, Jennifer Garner and Violet are the all-american family now. JLO doesn’t know what that means..she is to busy stealing men from their wives. That is how she got Marc Anthony.
