• Michael Jackson has insisted that a temporary 18ft high wall is constructed around his hotel to give him and his children more privacy during their stay in London. Michael is in the city for tonight’s World Music Awards and has booked out a suite and six out of the 12 rooms at the Hempel Hotel in Bayswater, at the cost of £6,300 a night. The wall has been erected around the hotel but will be dismantled again once he leaves on Friday.
  • Also in London for the WMAs, Paris Hilton was spotted out and about with T4 presenter Steve Jones on Tuesday night. Steve, who has previously been linked to Pamela Anderson, Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie, was seen with the heiress at Nobu Berkeley then at Kabaret’s Prophecy nightclub. An onlooker told the Sun: “They looked very intimate, like they were on a first date. Whatever lines Steve was feeding her must have been working, Paris seemed entraced”. Steve later commented: “We had a lovely time. She is a great girl. We swapped numbers and I hope to see her again.”
  • Sarah Harding has revealed that newlywed Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole wants a baby with new husband Ashley Cole. Sarah told Closer magazine recently: “I know she’s getting broody. She told us she wants a baby so we can all help her out. It would be so exciting for all of us.” Sarah was a bridesmaid at the celebrity packed wedding in July.
