Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes with daughter SuriTom Cruise and Katie Holmes have all but confirmed they are to marry at the Castello Odescalchi near Rome after they spotted dining with the Odescalchi family and friends on Tuesday night.

The pair are set to marry on Saturday, rumoured to be at the end of three days of wedding celebrations.

The couple visited the mayor of Rome yesterday, Walter Veltroni, although it is unclear whether they were finalising legal issues concerning the marriage or whether it was merely a courtesy visit related to Veltroni’s push between Rome’s international film festival, which took place in October this year.

Katie carried their seven month old daughter Suri to the meeting: the first sighting of the child since Tom and Katie arrived in Rome earlier this week.
