Kate Moss and Pete Doherty were reportedly turned down when they requested an invite to the world premiere of the new Bond film Casino Royale.

The Queen attended the event in London on Tuesday night and according to Closer, organisers decided Kate and Pete were not suitable guests to attend the event with the monarch.

An inside source told the magazine: “Pete was desperate to go with Kate. She’s a fan of the films and was planning a special outfit to wear.”

“But the organisers didn’t want them mixing with royalty on the red carpet - it’s a classy event and they were not considered right for the occasion. They’re gutted.”

An assortment of stars did make the list though, from Elton John and his partner David Furnish to Katie Price (aka glamour model Jordan) and husband Peter Andre. Paris Hilton, judges from The X Factor including Sharon Osbourne and Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay also put in appearances in addition to the cast of the film itself.
