Kevin Federline “will not be dissuaded” from custody fight
Kevin Federline is reportedly planning to use Britney Spears‘ public mishaps with her first son Sean as evidence that she is not fit to have custody of their children.
Earlier in the year, Britney was spotted driving with Sean on her knee, then with his car seat facing the wrong way, without a hat in an open-topped car. She was also seen nearly dropping him while being harassed by photographers and he was later rushed to hospital after an accident at the family home in Malibu.
The day after Britney filed for divorce - and sole custody of their two sons, Kevin counter-sued requesting that he be granted full physical and legal custody of the boys.
Kevin’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said recently: “Kevin feels he is a great parent and acting solely in the best interest of his children. He’s not doing this for the money.”
“Kevin is prepared to go the distance in order to protect and safeguard the children and will not be dissuaded or intimidated from the pursuit of these goals.”
Kevin has two other children, a son and a daughter, with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson. Shar claims she doesn’t receive any child support from Kevin but that he pays for the children’s private nursery costs.
Britney’s grandfather June Austin Spears told Star magazine that the family still think Kevin is just after Britney’s money: “Why didn’t he try and get custody of his other kids? It’s because that other woman doesn’t have money, and Britney has money.”
