Victoria Beckham: I worry for David after he gives up football

Victoria Beckham has revealed she’s worried how husband David Beckham will fill his time once his footballing career comes to an end.

After David was dropped from the England football team after the World Cup this summer, the prospect of his full retirement from the game is already looming on the horizon for Victoria.

In a recent interview with a Spanish magazine, Victoria said she has no problem leaving the limelight behind: “I accepted it a long time ago. It doesn’t bother me. But I think it will be more difficult for David, because he has a more active life because of his career.”

“When I got married, I stopped singing in order to be a mother. David has a responsibility with his footballing career.”

David isn’t so bothered by the inevitable though: “Of course it’s going to be difficult to find something like football to fill my life with.”

“But when that moment comes I will be able to do many of the things I would love to do now but don’t have the time to do.”
