To tell the truth it’s not the Maldivian people who want to meet Tom & Kat. It’s the Dictators family who wants to meet them. If ever Tom & Kat decides to meet the locals the Dictators “so called royal family members will” eat the whole cake.
As a Maldivian I had love to see them but not this time. I had rather give them more privacy since it’s their honeymoon trip. Perhaps Tom & Kat will visit again to meet the locals. That’s fine and we will welcome them.

Tom and Katie cruising with Maldives Dictator?

Foreign minister Shaheed and spokesman Shareef have been trying to arrange a meeting for their master with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who are honeymooning in the country aboard a yacht owned by fellow scientologist, Australian media and casino billionaire James Packer, according to highly placed sources.

So far, Tom and Katie have refused to meet the dictator. The arrangement was for the celebrity newly-weds to meet Gayyoom either in his office or at the dictator’s palace in Male’ but they have not even answered official calls.

Tom and Katie are sailing into dangerous waters by disobeying the orders of the sick Maldives torturer. Gayyoom is suffering from dementia and any doctor will tell them it is dangerous to upset a powerful person suffering from this affliction. Gayyoom’s anger means arrest, torture or death for many Maldivians, but Tom and Katie’s celebrity status should save them from attacks by the National Security Services - the dictator’s private militia which controls the police, coastguard and army.

Earlier this month, Gayyoom used his latest gift from the Indian government, a fast attack naval vessel MV Huravee, in an attempt to sink a boat carrying 45 members of the Maldivian Democratic Party who were travelling in international waters to Male’.

Will the National Security Services use the same methods against Tom and Katie’s honeymoon yacht - blasting them with hot water and pepper spray, and then beating everyone senseless with electric truncheons?

If Tom and Katie think the presence of their child on board will make any difference, then think again! Kids get truncheoned and pepper-sprayed along with the adults in Maldives. No one misses out when Gayyoom gives an order.

Tom and Katie and their baby may find themselves charged with disobeying the wishes of an ailing man and sentenced to a torture prison without trial. However, if Gayyoom is feeling merciful, they may only be deported for bringing the regime into disrepute by refusing to meet the madman who controls it.

Either way, they get a taste of life in the real Maldives - and that’s an authentic experience that money just can’t buy.

What the f***!! Tom Cruise is NOT someone to admire. Come on…some husband and father. He dumped his wife and kids, now reproduces genetically and acts like this is his first time at fatherhood all the while claiming to be a religious man of what?? Scientology ?! now throws people out of their home by buying up the land when they wouldn’t sell to build new church and “cozy” home for wife #3. Glad you’re living in London Cruise. Stay out of the states and take the rest of your useless peers, like Madonna, Gwenth, Alex Baldwin, Dixie Chicks, etc. with you. Buying your own production studio isn’t going to change that maybe people are sick of you and that perhaps your latest movie sucked.
