Owen Wilson has denied rumours that he’s considering proposing to Kate Hudson after he was spotted with his mother looking at rings in a jewellery shop.

Owen and his mum were spotted at Harry Winston in Dallas, Texas on Friday and according to a witness: “They were looking at a huge, pear-shaped, flawless diamond engagement ring.”

But when contacted about the shopping trip, Owen’s spokesperson denied that it was an engagement ring or even a present for Kate, saying: “Owen’s mother was looking for jewellery for herself.”

Owen and Kate have repeatedly denied rumours that they are dating after meeting on the set of You, Me and Dupree earlier this year. Kate split from husband Chris Robinson in August and Chris filed for divorce earlier this month.
