Lindsay Lohan has been spotted attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting near her West Hollywood apartment.

An inside source told the New York Post that she has been spotted attending a 7.30am meeting several times in the last few weeks.

A friend of Lindsay’s confirmed her attendance: “She has attended several meetings and has hopefully decided to turn her life around - this time for good. She is out of control.”

The friend added that Lindsay avoided a family Thanksgiving with her mum, Dina, last week because she knew “someone would force an intervention on her.”

“[We hope] she will really get serious about getting sober. And drop out of the limelight for a while.”

Dina appeared on the On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio show this morning and confirmed Lindsay’s attendance, saying a lot of Lindsay’s friends attend meetings and she feels “it’s a positive thing” for Lindsay to do: “As a parent, you tell them what you can tell them, but she’s 20 and I’m not gonna say, ‘Stay home and don’t go out, ‘ that’s a ridiculous thing to do. I’m there for support, and I’ll obviously give her my opinion, but she’s very smart.”

Lindsay was spotted wearing an AA “Ninety days” sober tag last month but said it was in support of an unnamed friend’s sobriety.
