Matthew Broderick has revealed he didn’t want children and was having doubts about fatherhood the whole time wife Sarah Jessica Parker was pregnant with their son - but as soon as James was born in October 2002, he changed his mind and now loves fatherhood

He revealed recently: “I feel truly blessed and incredibly happy to have my son.”

“You always wonder if it’s a good idea to have a baby. I know I wasn’t sure I wanted one. But I’m shocked at how much I like having him around.”

“Some chemical squirts into your brain and tells you it’s all worth it. You just become overcome with this strange instinct to protect this child.”

Sarah was rumoured to be pregnant with the couple’s second child in September but if the rumours are true, the couple have yet to confirm it.
