• Since not all their celebrity friends and extended family could make their wedding in Italy last month, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are planning a post-wedding party in Beverly Hills to celebrate their nuptials again. The party is set to take place this Saturday at Cruise’s film producing partner Paula Wagner’s home in the area.
  • Rumours that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services are trying to get hold of Britney Spears because they’re worried about her children’s safety are apparently greatly exaggerated. Stories started circulating earlier this week that the DCFS were trying to get hold of Britney after her “recent bout of bizarre public behavior.” But a source has now told TMZ that it is simply not the case because the department is understaffed and as Britney is sure to have a nanny for the two boys, they are unlikely to consider the children at risk.
  • Kate Winslet starring in The Holiday as an English journalist to be a novel experience - because she usually either stars in period dramas or plays an accented American character. She remarked recently: “It was the first time I’ve played a contemporary English woman. I was like, ‘What do you mean I can’t have a wig and an accent?’ It was weird.”
