Jessica Simpson gets told off by mum for “embarrassing” performance
Jessica Simpson reportedly got a good telling off by her mum after she flubbed her performance of “9 to 5″ in front of Dolly Parton and George W Bush at the Kennedy Center Honors event last weekend.
According to TMZ, Tina Simpson was furious as Jessica messed up on stage, forgetting the lyrics to the song and struggling to hold up her strapless dress.
A source overhead Tina calling Jessica’s performance “embarrassing” and “unprofessional”, and criticised her daughter for missing a dress rehearsal and clearly not learning the lyrics to the song. Tina also reportedly told her that Jessica should get out of the business if she didn’t want to put in the work needed to be successful.
Dad Joe Simpson however wasn’t so peturbed, calling the performance “cute”.
Jessica later refilmed the song without anyone in the audience. Her spokesperson blamed nerves and distracting problems with the dress for the slip-ups.

the reason why joe simpson probably said it was cute is because he is obsessed with her good looks and huge breasts. what kind of father talks about his daughters breasts? pretty sick if you ask me.

As a professional singer we know there will always be times when we screw up. We are not perfect. However, the prefessionalism comes not only providing good performances, but how you handle the bad ones as well. the last thing you should do is break your performing character and no matter how badly you do you should not make excuses appologize or whatever at least until you have left the stage. And you never ever miss a dress rehearsal (unless you are hospitalized.). You also walk on and off the stage with confidence in yourself no matter if you shined or bombed. This is what is expected of the professional and ammateur alike. That being said, I feel for Jessica. It’s embarrasing enough what happened, the world doesn’t need to tear her down any further. Expecially when 90 percent of the world has no clue as to the whole experience and story of what they are commenting on.
