Celebrity Gossip: snippets
- Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ post-wedding party on Saturday night was as star-studded as expected. In addition the usual crowd that were invited to the wedding itself (Jennifer Lopez et al), there was a varied selection of guests including acclaimed directors (such as Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, Oliver Stone and Ed Zwick) and powerful behind the scenes types like former Paramount studio boss Sherry Lansing and producer Brian Grazer. Katie’s Dawson’s Creek co-star James Van Der Beek also got an invite as did Orlando Bloom, Derek Luke and Tom’s ex, Penelope Cruz. Media figures Diane Sawyer and Larry King also were invited but Oprah Winfrey was notably absent.
- Jack Black has revealed if he could be anyone else in Hollywood, he’d be Gary Oldman. He said recently: “This sounds weird, but I think I would want to be Gary Oldman, because I think he’s the most kick ass actor and he’s a little crazy. So I guess that means I have a crush on him.”
- Kevin Federline has been reportedly asked to join the New York cast of musical Chicago, playing lawyer Billy Flynn. However, it’s unclear whether he’ll take the role - he recently said: “I’m so flattered by all the offers that have come my way. Right now I need to be near my children but I do have to provide for my family, too.” He is though set to return to the World Wrestling Entertainment ring in a rematch against wrestler John Cena later this month.
